Crape Myrtle Bark Scale (CMBS) is a fairly new insect pest to Louisiana. Research at Texas A&M, the University of Arkansas, and LSU Ag Center has led to guidelines to help commercial applicators and homeowners do their best at keeping damage to tolerable levels with this insect.
If your crape myrtle trees are experiencing problems with CMBS and you need additional help with treatments, please contact us. We are currently using soil injection and drench treatments beginning in spring and continuing through mid summer.
